Project Prevention

Eric Johns is Director of Project Prevention, a ministry of the Buffalo Dream CenterProject Prevention is an outreach led by Eric and Michelle Johns, Directors of the Buffalo Dream Center, located within the 66,000 square foot Buffalo Christian Center. Project Prevention assists families who are at risk of being separated because of poverty. The program is specifically designed to help families in need acquire the basic necessities of life including furniture, beds, baby needs, clothing, and personal hygiene supplies. Project Prevention also provides assistance in the areas of job finding, how to pay bills and tutoring.
To date Project Prevention is actively assisting 32 families reaching a total 132 people. Every Wednesday the Project Prevention team spends the entire day visiting families and delivering needed items.
Over the past few weeks Project Prevention has acquired a list of items needed for the families they are working with at the present and are asking that all items donated be no more than gently used and in good condition. Smaller items can be dropped off at the Buffalo Christian Center. Please mark clearly that they are for the Buffalo Dream Center. If you have a lot of items or larger items please contact the Buffalo Dream Center and they will arrange a pick-up or delivery. The office number is 716-854-1001.
